基于模间干涉原理的全光纤马赫-曾德尔温度传感器被引量:4

根据模间干涉原理提出了一种基于细芯光敏光纤的全光纤马赫-曾德尔干涉仪(MZI)结构,并实验制作出纤芯错位的MZI。根据数值模拟对该模间干涉仪结构进行优化,获得了干涉仪的干涉谱消光比超过20 dB。通过对该传感器进行温度响应实验,分析并讨论了干涉长度及弯曲特性对其温度灵敏度的影响,最终获得的温度灵敏度达到116 pm/°C。

Temperature-insensitive Mach-Zehnder interferometric strain sensor based on concatenating two waist-enlarged fiber tapers被引量:9

A novel temperature-insensitive strain sensor, based on an in-line Mach-Zehnder interferometer, is fabri- cated by concatenating two waist-enlarged fiber tapers separated by a short piece of photonic crystal fiber. The interference spectrum of the proposed sensor is analyzed in detail. Experimental results demonstrate that this sensor has a strain sensitivity of 3.02 pm/μe and maintains the temperature insensitivity feature. The proposed sensor has great potential in diverse sensing applications due to its advantages, such as its compact size, low cost, and simple fabrication process.

In-line Fabry-Perot refractive index sensor based on microcavity被引量:2

An in-line Fabry-Perot (FP) refractive index (RI) sensor based on an intrinsic FP cavity and fabricated by the etching and fusion splicing method is proposed. The experimental results demonstrate that the sensor possesses a high resolution of 1508 nm/RIU for the measurement of acetylene gas RI. The temperature- response measurement shows that the sensor is insensitive to room temperature variations. The FP RI sensor is suitable for applications in biosensing and environmental monitoring because of its high sensitivity and structural simplicity, thereby making it suitable for low-cost mass production.
